About Us
Wilf’s Place was established in 2019 after my working dog Wilfred. Since then we have thrived serving the Monterey and East Bay areas.
I am a professional certified dog trainer and currently attend the Karen Pryor Academy for my next degree. I am attending Husson University for a Bachelor of Science in Animal Care and Training.
The human-canine bond is something unique I have personal experience with, and Wilfred, my service dog of 8 years, has shown me the importance of forming and maintaining this relationship. Regardless if you need this special attention, my goal remains the same, to provide a service that leaves you and your pup closer, at the very least, sparks a change in their behavior to make the next steps in training and bonding easier.
One of the most fulfilling parts for me is working on learning your pup’s character. From training, to play, to service, every dog deserves this individual care. Training must be adaptable, and with every dog comes new knowledge of how I can work to be better. My services cover daily walks, 3 times a day, unless less is preferred, alone time, socializing, brain activity, training upon request, and more! My schedule is flexible, and I value this communication. I want you to feel comfortable knowing your pet is cared for as best as possible. I will gladly discuss overnight stays and any other routines you wish to keep.
The training I provide is humane and at the owner’s discretion. It’s important for you to share your experiences with your pet; what do they like, what playtime looks like, and what is their typical exercise routine? Please see Below for specific information requests.
When it comes to in-home service, it is my greatest priority to follow your guidelines and preferences to a T. I try to leave your canine happier and every human client as well. Rest assured, in the case of an emergency, I will always reach out to you/your emergency contact after taking them to the emergency veterinarian.
Further, as if it were my animals/children if you wish to have daily updates, I will happily oblige by providing daily texts on your pup’s adventures, even providing photos and videos upon request. While house-sitting, your dog will always travel with me weather providing, and only if allowed.
Please specify travel tolerances such as cars and walks. I will only leave your pup alone for the period you specify. 24/7 care is available for an additional fee. I do reserve the right to charge for hostility between other dogs. However, I want to ensure everyone is as safe and happy as possible. Moreover, dogs are always checked on through the night and never left in a crate longer than 5 hours per client’s specificity day or night.
I am willing to meet and greet before booking a stay; I do request you look over my rates beforehand because they reflect years of hard work and loving care that extends to all of my clients. I also encourage you to check out my reviews from other happy families.
Please note all stays require a deposit 7 days in advance. If cancellation occurs, there is no refund. No exceptions unless you speak directly with the owner of Wilf’s Place. Apologies for the inconvenience.

FAQ
To make training fun for you and your canine! Training is not one size fits all and I never use adverse techniques
At Wilf’s Place, we believe each dog is an individual and work to make sure every dog has a training experience built for them. We look forward to hearing from you!
Most importantly, I need to know allergies or similarly adverse reactions, medications, emergency contact, their attitude amongst other dogs, and your preferred vet.
Other information I need to know is what your pup’s day looks like, exercise thresholds, food, toys, does your dog wear a seatbelt, notable likes and dislikes, and anything else you deem necessary! Small things can make a stranger to your dog friend that much more comfortable.
